Get to Know Gypsy Light
Downtown Coldwater, since November 2025
Our Story
Gypsy Light is a metaphysical supply store launched by owner Becky Cole in November of 2025. It started as a monthly vendor booth at area events and quickly blossomed into a full retail and service shop at 42 W. Chicago Street, after Becky saw a need for something greater within the community.
Because her own faith is not considered mainstream, she wanted to create a place where everyone could feel welcome to learn and explore different ideas, faiths, and beliefs in a safe and inviting atmosphere. In her words, the goal is to offer anything and everything possible to give people the means to practice whatever they believe.
The shelves carry a carefully curated selection of products, educational resources, classes, and services focused on spirituality, mindfulness, personal growth, and holistic wellness, drawing on traditions rooted in Christian, Buddhist, Taoist, Hindu, Muslim, and Wiccan faiths among others. Everyone is welcome to come in, explore, and ask questions without fear or pressure to conform to any specific belief.
More than a retail shop, Gypsy Light is a place to ask questions without judgment, discover traditions from around the world, and find encouragement wherever you are on your personal journey. Becky describes her typical customer as the curiosity seeker, which she says often leads to the most interesting and meaningful conversations.
The Name
Why Gypsy Light
Throughout parts of European history, many women who practiced herbal healing and folk traditions were accused of witchcraft. They had to practice discreetly, which often meant practicing quietly or moving from place to place. The first half of the name honors them.
The second half reflects Becky's hope for the shop: that it will be a positive light, a welcoming place where everyone can explore, learn, and belong.
Inside the Shop
More Than Shelves
Beyond the products, the shop is built to be used: sit, read, breathe, and stay a while.

Divine Roots meets the first Sunday of each month from 4pm to 6pm: a deep dive on topics like understanding chakras, the elements, and the relationship between nature and self-care. Pop-up classes on tarot reading, divination, and meditation land throughout the month.
Our Mission
Explore. Learn. Connect. Belong.
Those four words are the whole idea. Gypsy Light is a metaphysical shop, a community, and a gathering place for kindred spirits: space to ask honest questions, to be heard without judgment, and to find a little light for your path. If you have not already been to the shop, stop in for inspiration, good conversation, and self-exploration.
